Grover C. Johnson, Jr, 94, of Jamestown, KY passed away on Sun. March 5th at the Fair Oaks Nursing Home in Jamestown, KY. Grover was born in Jamestown, KY on Sept. 30, 1922, a son of the late Earline (Pruett) and Grover Cleveland Johnson, Sr. He is survived by two sons Eddie Johnson, (Marvin Kellar) of Findlay, OH Joel (Rosemary) Johnson, of Jamestown, KY daughter Kay (Royce) Harris, of Russell Springs, KY daughter in law Peggy Johnson, of Russell Springs, KY sister Nova Jean Plummer, of Louisville, KY 8 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren also survive. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Norine L. Johnson, son Grover T. Johnson, 6 brothers Edgar, Connelly, Hugh Frank, Glen, Tate, and Bert Johnson. 4 sisters Elva Slaten, Willa Coe, Bertrina Cochran and Louise Clayton. Funeral Services for Grover C. Johnson, Jr, are at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel in Jamestown, KY on Fri. March 10, 2017, 11:00am with Bro. Ed Partin and Bro. Lindsey Cornett officiating. Friends may visit on Thur. after 5:00pm at the funeral home. Burial in the Jamestown Cemetery, in Jamestown, KY. Family request memorial donations to the Jamestown United Methodist Church and can be made at the funeral home.
