Orvis Ray (OR) Wheat, 86, of Jamestown, KY, passed away at 9:45 AM, Monday, January 25th, peacefully, at his residence. . Orvis was born in Jamestown, Ky on December 25, 1934, a son of the late Enola (Blakey) and Harold R. Wheat. He served in the U.S. Marines as a Pvt in the Korean War. He worked as a Pipe Line Installer He was the husband of Betty (Sullivan) Wheat. Orvis is survived by a daughter, Lana, wife of Jack Maupin, of Mt. Joliet, TN. Survived by two Sister-in-laws Joan Wheat and Geneva Collins. Two Aunts Irene Blakey and Evelyn Phelps. Preceded in death by his brother Harold R. Wheat, Jr. Religious Service at H. E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, Jamestown,, KY, at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 28th, with Bro. Stan Milby officiating. Thursday 12:00 till 2:00 p.m.. at H. E. Pruitt Memory Chapel.
